Ποιός έφερε στην 8η θέση την Αστυπάλαια σε διαγωνισμό φωτογραφίας καιρικού ενδιαφέροντος ;

Ο συνεργάτης της ομάδας μας Ευάγγελος Φασουλάς κατάφερε να βάλει τα Δωδεκάνησα και την πανέμορφη Αστυπάλαια ανάμεσα στα μεγαθήρια καιρικών καταγραφών ανα τον κόσμο και βρέθηκε με την υπέροχη φωτογραφία του στην τιμητική για τα Δωδεκάνησα και την χώρα μας 8ή θέση.

Αν μη τι άλλο μια τιμητική διάκριση καθώς το συγκεκριμένο σαίτ έχει χιλιάδες μέλη απο όλο τον κόσμο.

Supercell near a small country town called Kilcoy, Qld, Australia 27/11/2014. this storm packed a punch, producing an abundance of 3cm hail stones, torrential rain and damaging winds.

MAGIC SUNSET This photo was taken in late November at Pactola Lake South Dakota. Usually the lake is already frozen before the snow piles up, but we had a late winter that year. When it did finally snow it was a bad storm and lasted for couple days. This location popped up in my mind and I wondered how the lake would look. I had to work all through the storm and kept thinking about Pactola and going to see the lake. I finally I got chance to go after work around 1 o’clock, when I got there I was a little bit disappointed the fog was just too thick and I couldn’t see anything, but then it stopped snowing. I decided to wait a couple more hours to see if the storm would move off. Right before sun fully went down the fog began to disappear and that’s when the magic happened. Beautiful sunset colors, steamy water, and a winter wonderland it was amazing. I think this is the most beautiful moment I have ever seen in this place. Unfortunately that beautiful moment didn’t last very long I’m gland I got to witness that magical moment, but more importantly capture it forever.

– Another cracker of a lightshow in Newcastle tonight! After scanning the radar and seeing a cell pushing up from Sydney, I jumped in the car and headed out to chase. Before I knew it, I found myself on the Hunter Expressway pushing northwest. The radar image showed some very strong development , so I found a high spot and pulled over. It was an incredible show, here’s one of the favorite shots from the chase.
